Buyer Analyst II

Shift 1 (United States of America) Basic Requirements Education and/or Experience: 2 to 3 years’ experience plus associate degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience What you'll do: Set-up and maintain the purchasing and delivery arrangements for all materials needed to meet production needs. Ensures cost-effective purchasing arrangements are in place for both internal and external customers and suppliers. Supplier development Exceeds in all buyers 1 duties while supporting other buyer 1 person(s) Understand BOM, Work order generation, Routings. Thinking more strategically, working with buyer 3 / Supervisor Assists in helping Performs negotiation and contract set-up. Helps Ensure cost-effective purchasing arrangements are in place for both internal and external customers and suppliers. Work with accounts payable and receiving department to reconcile purchases. Performs analysis of supplier performance. Understands and finds Trends, purchasing history, ETC. Offers advice to management on how to improve margins. Negotiates optimum arrangements for pricing and delivery of materials. Works through challenging materials management issues and sets up cost effective programs such as vendor managed inventory and Kanban. Understand engineering drawings. Part distinction, Peerless part distinction, electrical distinction, Peerless parts applications, needs, & history. All duties as assigned to assist in the success of the purchasing function.
