This position serves as a single point of accountability and is responsible for delivering quality, safe, compliant, and productive workplace environments across a site and with a high touch customer service orientation. Responsible for delivering facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, space management, and onsite employee and business services while supporting core operation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop site-level customer relationships with business units/departments and serve as their facilities single point of contact, understand their strategies and expectations, and translate them into facilities management and business service solutions
  • Act as single point of contact for coordination for facilities management related activities to ensure common approach and standards for operations, maintenance, and facilities-related compliance requirements
  • Ensure efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations, project management, move services and all facilities operations, utilizing an effective balance of internal employees and service providers
  • As defined for the site, lead site/plant GMP activities including CMMS (Maximo) administration, GMP utilities (clean steam, purified water, HVAC, compressed air, etc), and maintenance planning
  • Manage all site maintenance, repair, and operations parts programs, and general site facilities functions. Act as the site single point of contact for Enterprise FM Global Competency (Asset Management, Lab Services, Supplier Strategy & Governance, and Energy & Conservation.
  • Support business continuity planning, Energy/Sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs. Lead/Support incident response and site crisis management program
  • Lead / support (as appropriate) development and implementation of equipment or facility validation standards, calibration standards, and other quality system requirements for the facility and material handling equipment
  • Deliver space planning and space management services to business units. Continually improve the workplace experience via the delivery of consistent site amenities and employee services, which could include fitness centers, daycare, parking, food, community gardens, Flexplace, and other business services as agreed with local site management
  • Actively participate in any regulatory or internal audits providing, if applicable, timely responses and implementation of corrective actions to observations
  • Ensure proper documentation and records retention of facility-related standard operating procedures and records
  • Ensure proper training and curriculum assignment for personnel (facilities) as well as contractors
  • Ensure that all GMP/Compliant services conducted for the sites are performed in accordance with all current applicable regulations, SOPs and guidelines
  • Develop standard operating procedures and guidelines in alignment with Cordis standards
  • Act as subject matter expert for facilities and equipment
  • Expected to lead and bring to closure compliance related activities for CAPAs, Investigations, Deviations. Manage and coordinate requalification and temperature mapping of mechanical systems and warehouse spaces, i.e. cold boxes, freezers, and ambient warehouse
  • Provide change management leadership to implement Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site
  • Establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices
  • Work collaboratively with departmental lead to ensure alignment and connectivity between and across teams
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee interacts with: Site Customer Leads, Enterprise Facilities personnel at various levels, and counterparts in other sites.
  • Coordinates cycle count activities to ensure all locations have been counted
  • Reconciles physical inventory to system database
  • Research customer inventory shortages or overage complaints
  • Adjusts system inventory vs. actual and documents all changes and adjustments
  • Loads incoming inventory data into CMMS system
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Serves as backup to Coordinator.
  •  Serves as Facilities System Administrator for CMMS system

Qualifications

  • In this role, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with a minimum of 2 years experience working within a manufacturing environment. If you do not have a bachelor’s degree it will be required to have a minimum of 4 years experience working within a manufacturing environment

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Technical knowledge of facilities management or related fields is required
  • Regulatory standards GMP is required
  • EHS is an asset in the role
  • Compliance knowledge is required along with Contractor Management, and Project Management skills
  • Maintenance and construction best practices
  • Leadership capabilities are required including talent development to include business and technical leadership
  • Customer Relationship Management is considered an asset
  • Supplier Relationship Management is requirement along with Site Operations
  • Site Governance is an asset
  • Adept in working in a matrix organization is an asset
  • The ability to work in a Cross Functional Team Environment is required
  • Ability to focus strategically while maintaining a tactical/operational focus is important in this position
  • Adept in working in a matrix organization is an asset. Ability to lead technical trade teams is required
  • Ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations
