Position: Payroll Specialist
Our company is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a growing team of talented payroll professionals based in Commerce City, CO.
Job Primary Responsibilities:
- Process payroll and ensure timely payment of employees on a weekly basis, for 500 employees.
- Monitor the use of the electronic timekeeping system, Work Maxx.
- Ensure maximum compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure proper filing of tax and voluntary deduction reports.
- Update the organization’s payroll procedures.
- Submit payroll reports and sheets for timely processing of staff.
- Complete additional accounting tasks as assigned.
- Handle certified payroll, 401k, and benefit filing and reconciliation.
Job Specifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Payroll Administration.
- Basic understanding of general accounting.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Sage Accounting software preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Sufficient knowledge of payroll taxes.
- Proficiency in the use of the timekeeping system Work Max is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly position with competitive pay ranging from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour DOE.
