Position Overview:

As the Lead Designer at Core Building Company, you will lead our design initiatives, playing a pivotal role in the aesthetic and functional development of our residential projects. Your expertise will guide the creation of homes that are not only visually appealing but also practical and sustainable, aligning with our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design process for all homes and multi-family projects, both speculative and pre-sold.

- Make informed selections on materials, finishes, and fixtures within budgetary and design parameters.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including estimators, superintendents, and construction managers, to ensure design integrity and adherence to building practices.

- Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

- Stay current of industry trends and advancements to integrate innovative design solutions.

- Engage with clients to refine design concepts and incorporate feedback.

- Mentor and support junior design team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.

- Meet with clients on pre-sold homes to pick selections.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in home design, specifically new construction.

- Demonstrated ability in making strategic design selections that balance cost and aesthetic considerations.

- Strong knowledge of building practices, construction methods, and cost estimation.

- Strong computer skills preferred, experience in Excel and Builder Trend a positive.

- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

- Detail-oriented with a creative and innovative approach to design.

- Ability to travel to various project sites as needed.

- Work along side of and train other members of the design team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
