The Senior ERP Developer is responsible for application development using the JD Edwards tool set and related technologies. Performs hands-on coding, mentors junior developers and assists architects and business analysts with application development solutions. Provides expertise in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing.
Participates in acquiring user development requirements, performs business and systems analysis and tracks deployment requests through the change management process. Develops prototype applications for verification and proof of concept development efforts.
Creates and complies with documentation standards for newly created and modified applications. Conducts and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Defines and participates in development processes, including creating accurate estimates, implementing coding best practices, performing code reviews, and other related development activities.
Participates in database design and creates systems that are highly available integrated solutions for Enterprise One applications.
Translates business requirements into high level technical designs and assists other team members in implementing the solutions. Verifies and validates test results.
Collaborates with developers and business analysts in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications. Leads internal teams and task forces. Reviews code written by team members and serves as mentor on architecture and new technologies in area of expertise.
Creates custom workflows for complex applications with escalation and other features as required by the user community. Creates auditing functions in all new custom systems.
Maintains relationships with customer departments and ensures all support is provided in the context of assisting application users succeed in their business goals. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solution.
Follows the CoreCivic program management methodology and works collaboratively with all project team members.
Assists in the definition of security as it applies to all areas of JD Edwards.
Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
Five years of JD Edwards Enterprise One development experience is required.
Proficiency using SQL, table browser and other database tools and the ability to write and debug C is required.
Experience with JDE 19.2 and BI Publisher preferred.
Development experience in Java and C Programming is a plus.
Additional years of JD Edwards or Java development experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
Must demonstrate an ability to design detailed technical solutions and write detailed specifications and documentation using various tools, to include the Object Management Workbench to its fullest capability.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of JD Edwards tables and how they interact, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex JD Edwards applications, including interactive and batch programs.
Must be team oriented and independently motivated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
