What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Coordinator position at Core Controls?
The Materials Coordinator role will be the point of contact and responsible for all things related to construction materials and inventory. The Materials Coordinator will complete the accurate picking and staging of construction materials, order job materials, track inventory, and maintain inventory accuracy. The role will work directly with suppliers ordering materials and seeking out the best price possible. The Materials Coordinator will assist with receiving, loading, and unloading shipments, track shortages, and communicate overage or damage information as required. The Materials Coordinator will manage returns, supplier RMAs, and transportation of parts to job sites when needed.
Jon functions:
- Perform tasks related to material stock including receiving, picking, packing, unpacking, and shipping.
- Perform tasks related to staging materials for upcoming construction projects.
- Load and unload materials from pallets, trucks or cartons to proper stock keeping locations.
- Count and verify materials as required.
- Handle and move material using hand trucks or forklift.
- Stack or assemble materials as needed.
- Prepare and track records of material received, issued, perform cycle counting, and assist in performance of more complex tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace and perform stock location cleaning and organization.
- Maintain proper system accounting of all materials and issuance to jobs.
- Maintain appropriate stocking levels of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with the assembly of panel builds as needed.
- Adhere to established safety practices and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:
- Previous experience with inventory management, parts picking, and or inventory stocking.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel, to perform daily duties.
- Communicate with suppliers in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to comprehend written materials easily.
- Be a professional and proactive team member.
- Adhere to all safety precautions and procedures.
- Multi task and resolve issues promptly.
- Self-directed and take action for the needs of the business.
- Ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass DOT Physical.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience in a similar role or related field. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
