Position Overview
The Land Coordinator will provide administrative and coordination support to the Land Department and Accounting team in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will coordinate the flow of departmental paperwork with internal and external customers, vendors, and trades to help ensure that all documents required for the Development of the Divisions' Communities are achieved in an efficient manner.
What You Will Do
- Work with civil engineers and contractors to competitively bid on land development projects.
- Produce bid analysis for review and approval.
- Issue work agreements/contracts.
- Input and maintain various databases as required for various reports, billing, contracts, and invoices.
- Act as the liaison between owners and development team in collecting scope of work changes and generating change orders as necessary.
- Generate check requests as required for permitting and utility fees.
- Assist land development management team with all financial assurances, such as bonds, letters of credit, etc.
- Coordinate and distribute improvement plans and construction documents.
- Ensure vendors are being enrolled per company protocol, by submitting info to ALS and sending new vendor setup packets to Accounts Payable
- Assist in updating, distribution and maintenance of project schedules and budgets in the direction of the land development management team.
- Coordinate billing and invoicing with accounting
- Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ideally, you'll have
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree desired.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to maintain flexible hours.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
You'll crush it if you have experience with
- Accounting and Finance on a Land Development team within a production home builder environment
- Experience working for a General Contractor in the Build To Rent space
- Many different software programs such as BRIX, Smart Sheets, Google
