Job Description
The Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech performs multiple roles within the cardiac laboratory, including assisting physician(s) with invasive cardiac laboratory procedures and conducting various cardiac tests to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions using diverse cardiology equipment.
- Assist physician(s) with invasive cardiac laboratory procedures
- Conduct various cardiac tests to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions
- Prepare procedure rooms, prepping patients for procedures, obtaining and recording patient information
- Assist physicians in procedure by circulating and scrubbing procedures
- Perform X-ray fluoroscopy, acquire/measure/calculate hemodynamic data, and operate intracardiac ultrasound
- Clean procedure rooms and prepare instruments for resterilization
- Direct and practice safety guidelines for themselves, staff, and patients
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in invasive cardiovascular technology, radiography, or a related field, and at least one year of vascular or cardiovascular lab experience. Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) is required.
