Business Development Representative

Compensation : $75k Base, $90k OTE

Remote

JOB PURPOSE :

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Business Development Representative plays a crucial role as a member of Janek’s marketing team and is responsible for collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to generate potential prospects, facilitate sales, and connect customers to the key Janek sales professional.

This position is knowledgeable about Janek’s core products and services and demonstrates independent decision making, while serving as a liaison between the sales and marketing teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industries, generating leads for the Janek sales team.

Engage with prospective clients through various channels, including outbound calls, emails, and social media, to introduce Janek’s products and services.

Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand target audiences and tailor communication strategies.

Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified leads.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and status using CRM software.

Develop a deep understanding of Janek’s products / services, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate value propositions.

Participate in sales training and professional development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualification.

Provide valuable feedback to the marketing and product teams based on customer interactions and market trends.

Follow-up with potential customers who expressed interest in purchasing goods or services.

Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Manage confidential information.

Regular and consistent attendance.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience / Education :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

2 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.

Proven ability to conduct effective outbound calls and emails to generate sales leads.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Proven enhanced attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and follow-through.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written, verbal, organizational and customer service skills.

Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work unsupervised.

Experience with online meeting presentation software such as Microsoft Teams, WebEx or Zoom.

Advanced skills with Microsoft Windows and Office environment (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and standard office equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Job tasks may be performed in close physical proximity to other people.

The noise level in the work environment varies and can be considered moderate.

Salary Description : $75k base, $90k OTE
