THE POSITION:
The Dispatcher provides communications to internal personnel and outside sources to ensure completion of route pick-ups and provides support clerical duties for the Operations department.

- Maintains an up-to-date listing of trucks and assigned drivers/helpers.
- Assures ready access to an up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route.
- Assures that each scheduled route is appropriately covered by utilizing available relief or substitute drivers/helpers.
- Maintains an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers/helpers.
- Maintains cordial working relationships with assigned drivers/helpers.
- Communicates with department employees, dispatching to needed locations to respond to routine requests or emergency situations.
- Maintain current knowledge of routes and locations to assure timely services and accurate information.
- Perform a variety of clerical support duties as assigned; type correspondence, memos and other items; compile data from clearly defined sources and prepare reports.
- Process debriefing processes with all Drivers at the end of the shift.
- Responsible for all associated tasks within iMoble, Tower and GeoTab.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma.
- One year of Dispatching experience.
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasion Saturday and on-call availability.
- Must pass drug and background check.
