Scope of work
Under the general supervision of the Department Leadership, maintains appropriate levels of medical/surgical supplies and equipment. Performs responsibilities required by central services, surgical services, or the supply chain division as defined in scope of services to ensure unique nature of client is addressed. Identifies problems and effectively communicates to supervisor/manager to meet customer needs. May coordinate routine safety checks and equipment repairs and appropriate personnel. Responsible for assisting in activities related to providing appropriate and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to patient care areas. Responsible for coordinating the ordering and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Maintains current knowledge/certification. May participate in the department quality assurance/quality.

Qualifications
- CRT - Registered Central Services Technician, Certified (CRCST) - IAHCSMM
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred
- 3 years of relevant experience preferred (central services experience with one year of supervisory experience)
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles of sterilization and aseptic technique required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient care equipment required.
- Basic knowledge of computers preferred.
