R&D-Laboratory Technician
Coriell Institute for Medical Research is currently seeking a talented individual to join its Research and Development (R&D) team. We are looking for self-motivated and detail-oriented candidates with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious about learning new skills and able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Laboratory Services, this individual will provide significant contributions to new product development and innovation projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting independent research experiments and R&D projects.
- Planning experiments, evaluating outcomes, and analyzing results.
- Troubleshooting experiments and assisting with developing and implementing new procedures/processes.
- Using technical, scientific, and clinical literature to identify new platforms and assay approaches.
- Maintaining careful research notes and developing experimental protocols.
The ideal candidate for this role has a bachelor's or master's degree in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field, with 3 years of experience in a research lab setting. Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques such as ELISA, qPCR, cell culture, IHC, etc. is desirable.
