What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cashier position at Corner Market Convenience store?
Our retail chain is looking for a Lead Cashier to be a role model for our younger cashiers, and to provide our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. The right candidate will be well-versed in company policies and procedures, as well as in customer service, fraud prevention and inventory control. A strong Lead Cashier will work closely with the team of cashiers to ensure that each customer is checked out promptly and efficiently, while also building a rapport with shoppers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe cashier area for customers and employees.
- Assist in the training of new cashier employees.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales and register activities.
- Act as a role model for other cashiers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
