We are seeking an experienced Director of Program Management to join the Technology group within Cornerstone Advisors. This is a fully remote position and will require up to 50% travel.
What You'll be doing
- Support bank client transformation, merger integration, process improvement and/or system conversion programs/projects from scoping and gathering requirements through deployment for an end-to-end project or specific area of a project
- Build outcome-based business cases and roadmaps to help clients prioritize and plan strategic initiatives
- Define business, customer experience, and system functional and technical requirements, and verify that the requirements are aligned with business needs and objectives
- Identify, understand and effectively manage milestones and dependencies across multiple stakeholders ensuring clear accountabilities and shared understanding of impact
- Take responsibility for end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality project deliverables through effective team communications and focus on quality
- Work to ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
- Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment activities
- Communicate effectively and frequently with clients; be responsive and available to client concerns, issues, feedback and questions
What You'll bring
- Knowledge of digital, lending, payments or core vendors in US financial institutions
- Experience in bank transformation, process improvement, a system conversion or merger integration programs/projects
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to bank management teams
- Experience managing project budgets and work plans
- Experience in multiple programs and portfolio governance approaches such as Agile, PMI, SAFe, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Experience in PPM tools such as Clarity, MS Project, Planview, Smartsheet
- Strong leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Availability to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree
- At least 4 years of experience in program/portfolio management, Business Transformation Office (BTO), and/or Project Management Office (PMO) operations in a US financial institution or 4 years of transformation, merger integration, and/or program management consulting to US financial institutions
- Experience with serving on a transformation or merger integration project for a US financial institution
