Director of Women’s Ministry
Cornerstone Bible Church Glendora, California
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Women’s Ministry provides leadership and oversight to the women at Cornerstone Bible Church. Her primary role is to plan and implement a discipleship ministry that will foster the spiritual growth, outreach and care of women.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A growing Christian with a good testimony among the congregation.
- Has an accurate knowledge of the Scriptures and the giftedness to teach.
- Maintains a growing knowledge of discipleship practices and curricula.
- Identifies the needs and the solutions for the care of women.
- Understands the evaluative process to monitor growth in women.
- Has the ability to identify and train leaders.
- Possesses a global view of the ministries of the church and desires to work with other ministry staff in the context of a team approach to ministry.
- Fully supports the CBC Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Ministry.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Oversees the Women’s Bible Study ministry, setting the tone for learning, fellowship, and leadership training.
- Finds effective ways of communicating an understanding of the church’s vision and culture.
- Partners with the Outreach Pastor to facilitate a clear strategy for assimilation.
- Leads and empowers a Women’s Ministry Advisory Team that casts vision and plans special events (i.e. retreats, annual fellowship events, brunches, conferences etc.).
- Recruit, coordinate, train and affirm leaders for the different facets of Women’s ministries.
- Develop and execute a plan for the inclusion of families of the women that attend weekday programs.
- Establish and maintain a grid for the objective evaluation of programs.
- Understand and utilize resources for counseling and encouragement for women.
- Further develop direction in mentoring within women’s small groups.
- Regularly serves on Sunday mornings and attends Sunday worship.
- Attends weekly devotional and developmental staff meetings.
WORKING RELATIONS
Reports to Pastor Mike Churchill.
Responsible for leaders involved in Women’s Ministry.
FLSA
The salary rate for this position is subject to review each year by the Board of Elders and is presented to the congregation in the Annual Budget.
Hours: 25 per week; non-exempt.
