What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Cornerstone Consulting?
This is a contract PLANT CONTROLLER for a manufacturing company near the Grand Rapids, MI area.
**This is a contract position to last 1-2 months**
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
· Maintain standard costs, bill of material cost rolls, PPV analysis, monthly journal entries, and labor/overhead analysis and reporting
· Support the Plant Manager, Business Unit Controller, VP of Finance, and Corporate Controller in their financial reporting and analysis needs
· Ensure plant activity for production, shipments, plant expenses, and inventory adjustments are recorded timely and accurately
· Monitor and implement plant internal controls as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard assets, and identify risks
· Monitor spending on key categories, including maintenance, supplies, and consumables
· Participate in plant problem solving and continuous improvement activities as the finance subject matter expert
· Provide manufacturing support and analysis in areas such as process performance, line efficiency, and capital spending
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred
· 7-10 years of similar experience
· MUST have manufacturing experience
· Comprehension of manufacturing financial transactions and reports.
· Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and ERP/Accounting Systems.
Prefer someone who has worked in restructuring/bankruptcy situations.
MUST BE ABLE TO START MONDAY, September 20th.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
