Responsibilities
The Payroll Coordinator will report directly to the Corporate Payroll Director and be responsible for the payroll functions for a portfolio of our hospitals. Additional duties include ad hoc reporting for executive leadership and participation in the migration of data when acquiring new hospitals.
- Setting up new pay groups for acquisitions and new development.
- Garnishment processing.
- Coordination of bonus payment processing, as needed.
- Understanding of the calculation of weighted OT calculations.
- Payroll system upgrades and new product implementations.
- Financial, 401K and Workers Comp audit participation.
- Payroll billing and reports.
- Work closely with accounting team to ensure proper GL coding.
- Processing of off-cycle payrolls/manual checks.
- Assist accounting team with reconciliation of payroll inquiries/discrepancies.
- Work closely with HR team for timely processing of benefits, new hires, terminations and status change forms.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of payroll experience, specifically experience with Paycom is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of systems security, multi-site payroll, shift differentials and miscellaneous pay rules.
- Payroll experience in a healthcare setting HIGHLY desired.
- Strong customer service skills.
- High level of confidentiality.
