We are currently looking for an Architect for a General Contractor in Connecticut.

We are looking for a Licensed Architect with 8 plus years of experience working within a Commercial Construction organization working on multiple projects and sites. You will be Responsible for driving innovation and first principles mindset, executing projects and professional growth, and promoting collaboration between all project disciplines.

Project Quality, Standards, Specifications

Drives Discipline Coordination

Designing, producing construction documents, obtaining building permits

Complete construction documents, knowledge of building systems and building codes. Applicants with no such experience will be evaluated based on their creative skills.

Ability to do independent research and find solutions to new challenges.

Prepare and coordinating design development and construction documents.

Prepare presentation materials

Coordination with contractors, engineers and vendors.

Involvement in multiple projects at any time.

Develop design schemes and making feasibility studies

Evaluate, and integrate construction and engineering systems with program, code and context parameters.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture

Minimum 8 Commercial construction experience

Licensed

AutoCAD

Experience and knowledge of different project delivery methods

Work well under pressure and can manage multiple large teams at the same time.

Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous

Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction

Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
