What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Security Analyst position at Corning?
The Network Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring the network for security threats and/or unauthorized users. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and configure firewalls
- Plan, engineer and monitor the security arrangement for the protection of the network systems
- Identify, monitor and define the requirements of the overall security
- Assist in migration events to ensure security and operational integrity for firewall configurations.
- Create different ways to solve existing threats
- Configure and implement intrusion detection systems and firewalls
- Test and check the systems for weaknesses in software and hardware
- Assist in the investigation of intrusion and hacking incidents
- Use industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security level of the organization
- Plan, build, and maintain site-to-site VPNs
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls is critical!
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience
- Industry Network Certification (CCNA, Network )
- Industry Security Certification (CompTIA Security )
- Network Troubleshooting Experience (5 years)
