SUMMARY:
Seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to aggressively investigate, evaluate, reserve, determine liability, negotiate and settle assigned multi-line rental, contingent leasing, business auto, and trucking claims (in accordance with carrier and internal best practices). A successful candidate will provide quality claim handling and superior customer service on assigned claims while engaging in indemnity and expense management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on the application of policy information to facts or allegations of each case

·         Prompt and assertive investigation of each claim through appropriate and effective contact with all necessary parties such as: policyholders, insured's claimant, law enforcement agencies, witnesses, agents, and technical experts; to evaluate liability, damages, and contribution potential

·      Memorialize necessary recorded and anecdotal statements

·         Identify and act upon subrogation opportunities

·         Maintain strong diary management to ensure claims are handled timely

·         Prompt disposition of claims with insured's and claimants

·     Recognition and implementation of alternate cost-effective resolution methodologies

·         Strict compliance with carrier and internal best practices

·         Understand and comply with State-specific regulations

·         Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

·         5 years minimum claims handling experience

·         Experience handling litigated files

·        Proficiency handling claims in many jurisdictions

·         Professional designations a plus

·         Existing holders of multiple State adjuster licenses preferred

·         Ability to promptly obtain licenses in jurisdictions not currently authorized in

·         Superior negotiation and customer service skills

·         Strong organizational and time management abilities

·         Effective communication skills

·         Demonstrable computer proficiency, with knowledge of Microsoft Office

·         Comfort in making and defending decisions
