JOB SUMMARY
In this role, the Financial Analyst will provide strategic guidance and planning to allow continued profitable growth; develop financial analytics that drives key business metrics, and guide performance improvement; drive effective program execution relative to cost performance, delivery performance, and effective resource planning. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing data-driven valuation and developing longer-term value strategies with a focus on ensuring the assets are well-performing sources of revenue.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishes processes and procedures that will allow the company to enhance revenue and improve profitability based on data analytics.

Reviews, analyzes, and interprets market data to identify emerging trends that may impact the performance of the portfolio, and works with the management and others to develop and implement market plans that drive occupancy and revenue growth.

Performs detailed cost/schedule planning, earned value variance analysis, identification of cost/schedule problems, and developing corrective action plans.

Tracking spending to ensure adequate funding is maintained, financial metric development, analysis, and reporting in support of monthly program reviews.

Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes.

Interact with hotel leaders with respect to the performance of departmental revenue and profit goals and assist with the interpretation of financial and benchmarking data.

Identify negative trends and utilize problem-solving skills to develop solutions.

Recommend corrective action and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.

Develop data analytics and implement process controls to improve the cost of sales for food, beverage and retail sales.

Review all weekly and monthly forecasts for each property. • Participate in the preparation of all Rolling forecasts and Annual Budget

Review month-end statistics reports, and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies.

Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through project completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a mix of equivalent education and experience

Ability to analyze financial statements and market data
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.

Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.

Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel which may require sitting, waiting and standing for long and short periods of time.
