JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the EDITION Brand team, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis and financial operational support EDITION pre-opening hotel activities; Consumer Operations (CO) and Finance Business Partner (FBP)-CO financial controls, projections, & presentations; and other project deliverables as required by the VP of EDITION and Sr Manager of Finance – EDITION. She/he will provide analytical support to EDITION team, Headquarter (HQ) and Continent discipline leaders and other key stakeholders on monthly results, forecasting, budgeting, long range planning, financial reporting and analysis, financial controls, and expense & expense allocation management.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Support finance related activities for the development, implementation, and ongoing financial management of selected EDITION programs & services.
- Support of Accounts Payable for brand initiatives, special projects, pre-opening budgets, and marketing programs
- Pre-Opening Budget development, reconciliation and coordination with continent, EDITION brand and property leaders.
- Provide recommendations to optimize ongoing performance and drive profitability.
- Completes hotel billings for various programs and services in accordance with the program standards
- Gathering and synthesizing data into actionable dashboards and workbooks for brand team including Food and Beverage profitability, preopening status, and brand performance.
- Tracking and supporting use of various revenue and expenses related to Global Design in conjunction with Finance Business Partner and EDITION leadership.
- Perform contract review to ensure financial controls are in place and align with Consumer Operations policies.
- Liaison between continent and Americas shared service finance organization to ensure EDITION Shared services are accounted for appropriately.
- Reconciliation of EDITION direct charge out departments
- Ad-hoc financial and operational support as assigned.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Talents and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience including complex data analysis and financial modeling or equivalent work experience
- Strong spreadsheet (advanced use of Excel) and presentation software skills
- Ability to organize and interpret complex, detailed financial information and present analytical results in manner appropriate for senior management decision-making (both orally and in writing, in memos or presentation format)
- Strong accounting skills, particularly in analyzing financial statements
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment
- Strong desire to work on teams as the junior member is critical
- Exceptional communication skills, creating an environment allowing timely information flows throughout the organization
Education and Professional Certification
- Baccalaureate degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required
