The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, AmeriCorps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Childcare Services Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administrative and age-specific technical assistance to ensure high quality provider services in family childcare homes, centers, and classrooms. Responsibilities include attending high quality professional development and providing professional development to current and potential childcare providers to increase quality and availability of childcare options, including business operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Provide high quality technical assistance to childcare programs within assigned service delivery area.
· Provide high quality professional development to childcare programs via onsite, face to face sessions and/or online virtual sessions.
· Information, outreach, and referral services for Childcare Providers, Families, and Other Caregivers.
· Attends meetings, conferences, and professional development sessions applicable to this position and disseminate acquired information to appropriate individuals within the corporation.
· Maintains databases and anecdotal records to inform reporting and outreach efforts; Assists with coordination of regional data collection, reporting, and analysis within the district office.
· Assists with the implementation of the many special projects, contracts, and opportunities within any given fiscal year.
Key Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to qualify as an approved trainer as outlined in the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) childcare licensing regulations.
· Must also meet current Ohio standards for specialization of this position such as infant/toddler, pre-school, or school age.
· Fluency in specific applications and software programs - generally including Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
