We are seeking a Part-Time GPS Technician at our office in Travis County, Texas working with the Texas Department of Public Safety. The GPS Technician will be responsible for scheduling client appointments, client orientation, reporting, installation and removal of electronic monitoring devices, regular maintenance of the technology, and administrative responsibilities.
The GPS Technician needs to be a tech savvy person who has a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude, extremely well organized, detail oriented and have an upbeat and friendly demeanor.
Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour
Scheduled Shift: Part-Time Hours Between 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday. On Call As Needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling appointments with our clients both in the office and for our remote installs.
- Installing clients on monitoring devices (GPS).
- Communication with clients and supervising authorities.
- Cleaning & maintenance of monitoring equipment
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Conversational Spanish required.
- Candidate must be able to report the Austin, TX work location within 30 minutes if needed.
- Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities are necessary.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Outlook, and Excel. Expertise in other commonly used programs such as Adobe PDF, SharePoint, etc., is a plus.
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize work, balance the needs of various individuals, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and resolve problems.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record including minimum auto insurance coverage required by Texas.
- Driving using personal automobile, mileage will be reimbursed according to the federal standard mileage rate and driving time is compensated.
