Summary of Position
The Warehouse Worker / Band Saw Operator is responsible for processing customer orders, loading and unloading material onto or from delivery trucks, receiving inbound freight, and constructing various shipping containers for outbound material.
Responsibilities and Duties
Typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Warehouse Worker / Band Saw Operator include:
· Adhere to all CMI’s safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
· Load and unload inbound and outbound freight trucks, safely, using forklift, boom, or overhead cranes.
· Physically process customer orders, within the required time stated on the travelers by measuring full bars or utilizing bandsaws to cut product, and complete applicable steps in the CMI computer operating system.
· Package processed material into appropriate skids or containers. The appropriate container may need to be constructed from raw lumber.
· Receive inbound material, checking accuracy of goods received against purchase order placed. Physically check material using calipers, micrometers and tape measures. Complete applicable steps in CMI computer operating system.
· Ensure that all freight bills and bill of ladings are accurately completed. Verify proof of identity and obtain appropriate signatures on the bill of ladings.
· Through instruction, assist shipping department with creation of packing lists, bill of ladings, and printing of correct material certifications.
· Assist daily in the storage of inventory and management through cycle count activity.
· Ensure compliance with delivery and specification requirements of customer orders.
· Maintain daily safety checklists for equipment, including overhead cranes and forklift.
· Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
· Adhere to all CMI’s handbook policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· At least one year (1) of experience in a warehouse environment
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, boom, overheard crane)
· Ability to learn job-specific computer software
· Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
· Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
Preferred Skills
· Proficiency operating a bandsaw. Training can be provided to a candidate that exhibits all other minimum qualifications.
