The Role
- This is an opportunity for a self-motivated and detail-driven individual to assist in launching a business and strategy-oriented planning office, i.e. EPMO, and grow alongside with the company. The PMO lead is expected to implement and maintain standard methodology for project intake, transition support, and toolkit maintenance for the ~25 key initiatives of the company.
- The PMO lead will partner with other departments to build out planning and tracking for these initiatives. While beginning as one individual, the EPMO will likely expand alongside the company as needs arise.
- In this role, the candidate will also have direct exposure to the Corsearch CEO, assuming Chief of Staff responsibilities including coordinating the governance calendar and collating KPI and status update to inform enterprise level decision making.
- This role will report into the Chief Transformation officer, who oversees the Corsearch value create plan and M&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish robust process and framework for managing the planning and delivery of the strategic and most value creating projects. These include milestone management; and risk, action, issue, and decision identification. Weekly stakeholder engagements and status reporting.
- Validate planning detail is sufficient for high confidence and identify clear ownership and accountability for all workstreams
- Collaborate with technical PMO on more technical delivery
- Create right resourcing plan to manage projects effectively, including external hiring as needed
- Fluency in business apps and systems architecture to critically engage in planning and validation
- Strong grounding in P&L and business case concepts
- Advise or steer decision-making as needed to get to successful outcome
- Coordinate the governance calendar on behalf of the CEO and ELT
- Support the ELT in the co-ordination of strategic initiatives and activities
- Ensure the effective collection and tracking of key KPI’s
- Presentation preparation for CEO led meetings e.g. Board Meetings, Quarterly Strategy reviews
- Ensuring ELT follow-ups are completed
Required Experience
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, with clear articulation of financial and business outcomes.
- Experience of managing a PMO team, or other line management / team management
- Experience of managing the complete lifecycle of a project with project teams of 5 to 25 people
- Clear understanding and experience in project and portfolio governance approaches (including but not limited to PMI, waterfall, iterative, Agile, Scrum, and OPM3)
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience
- Experience with project/program/portfolio intake/alignment and staffing models
- Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project (or equivalent)
- Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business
- Ensure decisions and actions are committed to throughout project team
- PMP certification a plus
Salary Range
$150,000 - $195,000 (depending on experience) 20% bonus
