As an intern, you will have a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and expand your knowledge of data science and agriculture as you help research and develop the digital crop advisor of tomorrow. Applicants should have a drive for excellence, excel in using creative approaches to solve complex problems, and possess an innovative mindset. Experience developing computer vision algorithms with Python is essential for this position. Affinity for agriculture is an advantage.
Responsibilities - What You'll Do:
Process, classify and/or segment satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle imagery
Integrate, model and analyze agricultural data
Develop Python code in high performance Linux computing environments
Work collaboratively on agile research teams to create innovative software solutions for growers
Continuously learn and share your technical knowledge
Qualifications
Qualifications - What You'll Bring:
Enrollment in a masters or doctoral degree program in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related fields
3.5 current cumulative GPA
Excellent problem-solving skills using creative approaches
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional science and engineering teams and business partners
Prefer some level of experience with the following tools & libraries:Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, keras, scikit-learn, scikit-image, OpenCV, Matplotlib, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), RESTful API services
Required: Hands-on experience with Python and image processing and/or computer vision algorithms
