Corteva has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our company at our Cherokee, IA location.

VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide administrative support to manufacturing plant and field operations.
  • Perform daily reception activities effectively while welcoming visitors and business partners to the location.
  • Collaborate with site production, agronomy, and external partners (seed growers).
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processing for the site.
  • Create, develop, and maintain data entry processes across departments.
  • Handle daily transactions for operations with high accuracy.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents and reports.
  • Assist with contract administration duties, office supply ordering & other plant purchasing needs.
  • Assist with records management around quality programs and training.
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities around Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Tracking of documentation and assist training coordinator for proper document control.
  • Data entry for record keeping (i.e. safety training, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:

  • You have a High School Diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

  • You are a computer Guru! Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), computer applications, SharePoint, etc. You name it, you rock it!
  • You have 2 years of administrative, accounting, or other related business office education/experience.
  • You respect yourself and others and have a strong ethical mindset, therefore you are able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • You are able to prioritize tasks and have excellent time management skills.
  • Your attention to detail and organizational skills are outstanding!
  • You have good verbal, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • You are creative and enjoy the challenge of guiding projects for the location.
  • You are welcoming and engaging with a positive mindset and love being the face of the business as you greet guests when they come in the door.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily day shift position with some overtime when required to support business needs.
