What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevOps Engineer position at Cortica?
Cortica is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing IT Operations team!
The main functions of a DevOps Engineer encompass product updates and rollouts, troubleshooting and locating problematic production errors including resolution, and the creation and maintenance of tools to facilitate efficient feature rollouts. This role will also function as an internal cloud infrastructure engineer – working with tools such as Terraform and Ansible to support a variety of internal company applications and projects.

What will you do?
- Assist in architecting and improving our infrastructure in AWS for both production and internal apps
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Automate the platform with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management
- Drive successful product and engineering projects to production
- Perform root cause analysis for production application errors
- Support software development processes via CI/CD pipelines
- Evolve system security, reliability, scalability, performance, and quality
- Implement monitoring of core services to ensure performance and uptime
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar credentials
- You have 1-2 years experience with Cloud, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps
- You are proficient with Git, GitHub, and GitLab
- You have 1-2 years experience with AWS
- You have a problem-solving attitude
- You have experience with:
- CI/CD Tooling and Pipelines
- Python/Scripting language
- React, NodeJS, Typescript (preferred)
- Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation (preferred)
- API Gateway (preferred)
- Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, ECS (preferred)
- CloudWatch Step Functions Lambda (preferred)
- Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift (preferred)

The base pay range for this opening is $42 to $53 per hour. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
