As a Real Estate & HMDA Specialist, incumbents will support CorTrust's mission and business objectives by overseeing the collateral valuation process for real estate transactions across CorTrust’s footprint and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). They will review and analyze loan characteristics, pricing, and demographic information to identify and correct errors and ensure regulatory information is reported accurately. They will utilize appraisals and real estate databases to determine current and reasonable values for real estate collateral.
Daily duties for this position:
- Collect, validate, and analyze loan data to ensure compliance with HMDA reporting requirements.
- Review all new loan applications to ensure accurate completion of HMDA reportable data.
- Collaborate with lenders and loan processing staff to obtain proper documentation and to ensure files are completed and scanned appropriately.
- Enter loan data into reporting software and verify accuracy of recorded information.
- Identify and correct all errors within the reported data to ensure accuracy prior to annual LAR submission deadlines.
- Review and maintain internal and external valuation/appraisal requests for commercial, agricultural, and residential appraisals.
- Collaborate with loan officers, loan assistants, and appraisers to manage the bidding, ordering, completion, and review of appraisals and evaluations.
- Prepare internal property evaluations by researching property information and obtaining subject property picture from approved sources and coordinate the secondary review process for internal evaluations.
- Manage approved appraiser lists by maintaining updated information and ensuring all required information is collected for new appraisers.

- Must be able to communicate efficiently with all levels of personnel across the organization as well as external parties.

Salary : $45,400 - $57,400
