LTP SOF Coach

DUTIES:

• Works under the direction of the LTP Senior Brigade Coach.
• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in US Army Special Forces (SF) operations at the Special Forces Company and Battalion command and staff level. Coaches, teaches and mentors SF AOB commanders and staffs on SOF integration with General Purpose Forces (the rotational unit--RTU) to achieve complimentary effects on the LSCO battlefield.
• Acts as lead facilitator assisting the AOB staff and BCT staff (RTU) in a 7 – 8 day guided staff planning exercise designed to create SOF and GPF integration.
• Provides the Special Forces training audience with doctrinally-correct and timely “best practice” feedback throughout this period in order to improve unit planning, coordination, integration, and synchronization skills.
• Work is performed primarily in a classroom environment but, on occasion, may be performed in a tactical field environment.
• Conducts After Action Reviews (AAR) and provides comments on US Army and Joint doctrinal publications as directed.
• Must be able to work non-standard schedules based on mission requirements that include extended hours and/or weekends.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office programs of Word and Power Point.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Required: 

• Former Special Forces tactical battalion commander.
• Experience in coaching, teaching, and mentoring Special Forces officers and NCOs in SOF/General Purpose Force operations and integration.
• Military Education Level 4.

Desired:

• Former Special Forces Group Commander
• Military Education Level 1
• Former Special Forces or Army Service School instructor/small group leader or Special Forces Observer/Coach/Trainer at a Combat Training Center (SOTD).

Additional Requirements: 

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Passport
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening. Will be subject to random drug screening.
