SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional member of the health care team who provides skilled nursing care to patients in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and within the policies and procedures of the agency, upholding standards of nursing practice. Keeps abreast of current techniques and innovations to meet special needs of the patients and staff. Is responsible for monitoring, altering and coordinating the services the patient receives to promote optimum care. Is responsible for completion of all required documentation. Takes after hours, on-call responsibilities as assigned. Coordinates schedules/staffing. Supervises skilled and non-skilled care. Completes comprehensive chart reviews on active and discharged patient record components for qualitative analysis of content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Currently licensed in the State of Texas
2.) A minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse in acute care or skilled facility
3.) Self directed and able to work with little supervision and have good observational/nursing judgment
and communication skills
4.) Proficiency in managing confidential materials and information with integrity
