Responsibilities:
Ensure venue presentation systems are in a constant state of readiness
Work with Cosm Technologies teams to execute product launch strategies
Maintain comprehensive systems knowledge to support normal operations, special events, and demonstrations
Monitor venue schedule and proactively coordinate with stakeholders and operators
Activate and monitor live event sequences and transitions
Track live events and adjust venue displays according to established runbooks
Coordinate with venue ops team to initiate program blocks, transitions
Essential Systems Maintenance
Log and track issues across all presentation systems
Systems preventive maintenance, including LED module removal and replacement
Coordinate systems testing and issue resolution
Monitor and maintain a variety of theatrical effects, including fog machines and DMX lighting
Demo and Special Event support
Coordinate with in-house and external teams to enable the best possible guest experience
Program lighting and sound cues
Develop custom presentations and events content
Load, test, and verify special event content
Support venue guest experiences, and work with venue team members to help setup and teardown, as needed
Train and collaborate with team members
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
Any additional relevant diploma or certification, or industry experience with large venue AV technology will be considered as an advantage
Extensive background working with Windows PC technology
Familiarity with audio/visual signal flows and diagrams, and AV automation systems
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized
Team leadership skills, ability to remain calm under pressure
Background in Astronomy and/or related sciences is a plus
Experience in Audio, Lighting, Broadcast, IT, and/or streaming IP video workflows is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
Must be able to safely climb structures and work, briefly, in elevated positions
Must be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environments
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $65,000 - $75,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
