Project Engineer

Summary: The project engineer is responsible for the integration of components, methods, and tools necessary to build conventional and custom engineering solutions for new customer projects.  The project engineer assists the Project Manager in the development of project documentation and logistics as assigned.   The project engineer also assists as needed in the testing of equipment and commissioning of system components.  Interfacing with customers regarding upcoming installations or customer engineering solutions will also be required.  Responsibilities: Assist Project Manager in managing customer projects Produce customer/project specific Site Preparation Guides Review and provide feedback on customer drawings Work with design and manufacturing teams and customers to define equipment and projector locations, cable routing and other installation details Produce drawings of custom project configurations to assist in manufacturing, installation, and testing Complete As-Built drawings and system documentation for finished projects Assist with and coordinate research, evaluation and testing of project specific custom components Identify and monitor potential delays and bottlenecks.  Identify possible solutions, and work with Cosm team and customer to implement solutions. Liaise with customers, vendors, software developers, field service engineers, IT personnel for problem resolution Help establish test procedures for quality assurances of products Develop installation procedures and instructions for new products Oversee and manage site preparation and on-site installation at customer facility occasionally. Experience: Degree in engineering, computer science or related field Professional engineering status is helpful but not required Familiarity with projection, audio and lighting technology is a plus Basic skills in one or more drawing programs is desired.  (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.) Solid networking knowledge A wide degree of creativity and value engineering is expected Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities Ability to work under pressure and time constraints Effectively presents technical information Periodic travel to customer sites is required
