Summary:
The Role Join our dynamic Creative Services team as a Web Editor, where you will collaborate closely with our Copy Team and Creative Director to develop persuasive and impactful content. Your main responsibilities include crafting compelling copy that aligns with our brand standards and spearheading editorial initiatives for Cosmʼs digital products. This role demands exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and a proven talent for refining and editing language to resonate across our platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize Cosm’s XMS to prepare and publish content on the Cosm website and App, staying abreast of existing and new functions of the system
• Craft compelling and persuasive copy for events across all formats (websites, apps, events) while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand adherence.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute copy that aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Write and edit consumer marketing copy as directed (e.g. product & feature messaging, choice architecture, upsell messaging, taglines & campaign messaging, etc.)
• Partner with the Creative Services team to develop, draft, and publish compelling and original copy for venue programming.
• Craft tonally thoughtful copy for a wide variety of audiences (consumers, artists, industry, audiences, donors, etc.) based on marketing and communication strategies across the website, organic social, email newsletters, and additional materials from white papers to online shop descriptions.
• Meticulously copyedit and proofread all copy for accuracy and Web Editor 3 style and to ensure consistent message, tone, and information are being applied, and the brand is being upheld.
• Collaborate with the full creative team (designers, video, and social teams) for content and brand alignment including developing brand storytelling moments that drive brand affinity, revenue, engagement, and other stated objectives.
• Contribute to developing and executing Cosm’s editorial plans and calendar.
• Drive high-quality results through effective creative communication and feedback.
Requirements:
• Start-up DNA. Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test innovative approaches. Able to prioritize deftly. Comfortable with setting their own direction and adjusting to the landscape.
• 3 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably working with consumer brands, editorial, or event marketing
• 3 years of experience with content management systems for websites and applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Marketing, English, or Business Management is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to write and edit consumer marketing copy.
• Strong understanding of brand marketing standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience working in a fast-paced editorial, entertainment, or tech sector in a high-growth environment
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in project management tools and software (Notion is a plus.)
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 to $105,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
