Job Overview:
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our outstanding team. As a Dental Assistant you have the opportunity to change lives through enhanced dentistry, and you will also need a great personality with a willingness to be team player.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments
- Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Greet patients, answer phone calls, and handle patient inquiries
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in using electronic Dental documentation systems - Dentrix is a Plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
