Job Title: Quality Control Manager
The Quality Site Manager is responsible for the development, update, documentation, control and implementation of the overall Quality System in the Company. This position is responsible for the ultimate quality of the products and services offered by the Company, providing adequate training and clear instructions for the quality control.

Reporting to this position are the following positions:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the all day to day quality control functions for: incoming raw material, incoming packaging, incoming graphics, bulk, production lines and serve as the back up for those job functions.
- Create and keep updated all the documentation related to the Company’s Quality System, including Company’s SOPs.
- Ensure completion of all documentation records.
- Conduct and manage periodic audits of company internal systems.
- Manage and facilitate cases, investigations, deviations and non-compliances notifications.
- Manage and facilitate corrective and preventative action (CAPA)
- Manage the change control system.
- Track all quality lifecycles and perform periodic trend analysis, when required.
- Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
- Assist in the validation and calibration of the Company’s machine and equipment.
- Implement a quality control program for the production process through testing samples of the finished product selected at a predetermined frequency.
- Supervise the metrics and measure the performance with the aim of waste reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Coordinate training activities as they relate to the Company’s Quality System
- Provide guidance to company employees in relation to regulatory topics and trends.
- Bring the Company up to date on industry norms and regulatory issues.
- Managing and motivating direct reports.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all direct reports to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, to address any work-related issues and to provide insight for the improvement of their activity and performance.
- Directly manages QC Line Inspector, indirectly oversees the quality functions of the lab, production, and graphics.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Performs any other duties or tasks that may be required of you by the company.

Expertise/Skills:
- Must have 5 plus years’ experience in a Quality Assurance in regulated industry i.e. pharmaceuticals and food
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work at one’s own initiative
- Must be able to thrive is fast paced work environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a scientific field or equivalent work experience within the pharmaceutical and or OTC industry
