SUMMARY

COSTA. PRECISION, a global leader in the field of precision controlled production machining and assembly, has the following opening in our CLAREMONT, NH facility.

We are looking for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Good working knowledge of machine shop operation
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic inspection skills
  • Achieve prescribed cycle times for jobs
  • Complete maintenance check list
  • Perform physical measurements per checklist
  • Perform hand-work such as tapping, deburring, assembly, etc
  • Capable and performs two basic operations or tasks simultaneously
  • Make adjustments as needed in offsets
  • Basic idea of proper tooling for their current jobs
  • Change tooling and inspect existing tooling
  • Verify work coordinates in case of tool breakage or adjustments
  • Quality Assurance functions including spot-checks, visual inspections, and measurements using air gauges, dial indicators, or other specified gauge measuring devices. Rework as necessary
  • Following both detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and process sheets
  • Operates machines in area assigned after set up by area supervisor, lead, and/or set up person, performing duties with little or no supervision
  • Make minor machine adjustments
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstations
  • Follows all safety requirements including use of PPE when required
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures and complies with ISO 9001 requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary or trades education preferred
  • Basic computer skills; including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Above average mechanical aptitude and shop math competencies
  • Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Problem solving methodology for troubleshooting

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out job traveler and check sheets. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Machine shop math, blueprint reading, good working knowledge of machine shop operation, good communication skills, basic inspection skills.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly, be on feet most of the day, and be able to make tool changes and deburr parts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
