The Corporate Account Executive team is a critical part of our go-to-market strategy here at Couchbase. We are looking for individuals who love the hunt, and are able to handle the sales process from prospecting to closing. Our Corporate Account Executive role is based in our Austin Texas physical hub, and we are looking for talent that want to be a part of our company culture here at Couchbase.

As a Corporate Account Executive you will be responsible for building pipeline for mid - market accounts, and executing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. We have invested in tools to fuel the success of this team like, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, TechTarget, etc…

Location: This role is based in Austin, TX office. Hybrid role, you will be expected to be in the office on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business from initial customer engagement to close meeting or exceeding quarterly, and annual bookings objectives
  • Prospect, develop, and close new customers using various direct and indirect methods
  • Manage opportunities and forecast
  • Uncover opportunity at existing accounts and establish new accounts to develop sales pipeline
  • Interface with technical staff where required to address customer requirements
  • Maintain pipeline in salesforce.com CRM system, tracking interactions with prospects and customers
  • Develop and maintain territory plans
  • Conduct online presentation of the company and product line
  • Conduct online high-level demonstration of CB Server, CB Cloud, services, training, etc.

What you bring to the table

  • 2-3 years Sales/Lead Generation experience
  • Preferred: 3 years in a closing role
  • Hunter mentality
  • Proven track record of consistent goal/quota achievement.
  • High-tech background; database and/or open-source software experience
  • Preferred: Experience working with Salesforce.
  • Superb relationship building skills and ability to show value to clients
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and high-performance individual, with ability to be collaborative, learn quickly, and execute tasks efficiently
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
