The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) seeks a passionate and experienced leader to serve as our new Executive Director.

The mission of the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is to build healthier lives, stronger families, and a safer, more vibrant community through education, prevention, and treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders throughout Santa Barbara County. In pursuit of this mission, CADA seeks to prevent alcoholism and drug abuse through education and public awareness; intervene when symptoms of the problem appear and provide alternative activities, support, and treatment; and encourage proper diagnosis, treatment, and continuum of care for individuals and families with alcoholism, other drug addictions and related problems.
- Strategic Direction & Program Management: Develop and implement CADA's strategic direction, oversee programs, and ensure they meet objectives.
- Fiscal Management: Develop and monitor annual budget, ensure compliance, and manage financial records.
- Board Relations: Collaborate with the Board, implement policies, and report on progress.
- Fund Development: Work with the Board to achieve fundraising goals and cultivate donors.
- Public Relations: Serve as CADA's chief liaison and manage community & legislative relationships.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
- Proven leadership experience in a dynamic non-profit organization.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Strategic planning, budgeting, and fundraising expertise.
- Passion for CADA's mission of helping individuals and families overcome substance abuse.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
A plus if you have:
- Knowledge of alcoholism, drug abuse, and recovery programs.
- Familiarity with the Santa Barbara community.
COMPENSATION: Annual salary range $140,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
