Position Description:
Beer Hall servers are an integral role in ensuring an excellent customer experience at Counter Weight Brewing. They will ensure an excellent customer experience by providing guests with information regarding our products, utilizing proper pouring techniques and glassware to ensure proper presentation of our beers, maintaining the cleanliness of the taprooms, restrooms, and guest areas, maintaining clean glassware, ensuring guests are of legal alcohol drinking age by checking IDs, accurately ringing guests out, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Open and close the taproom according to the duties outlined in the opening, closing, and cleaning checklists, and/or as assigned by the management
· Ensure stock of food, drink, and merch items as necessary
· Keep the can cooler appropriately stocked
· Maintain knowledge of Counter Weight’s products in order to be able to answer guest questions
· Maintain knowledge of our protocols including, but not limited to, executing best practices when pouring/serving beer, interacting with customers, cleaning and polishing glassware, among other responsibilities
· Ensure taproom, bathroom, and guest area cleanliness
· Interact with guests in a welcoming way
· Greet guests as they arrive
· Thank guests as they leave
· Prevent guests from bringing beer outside (except for the designated patio area)
· Prevent guests from smoking and/or vaping inside the brewery, taprooms, and on the patio (inform them of the smoking area in the front)
· Keep walk-in cooler organized
· Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:
· At least (2) years hospitality experience (taproom/bar setting preferred)
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, sit, stoop, push, pull, and lift for extended periods of time
· Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell
· Acute sensory abilities
Ability to follow and effectively execute safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment, and safe chemical handling procedures in regard to taproom and guest area cleanliness

Our goal is to produce high-quality beer and provide exceptional service to all our customers. We have two taprooms focused on the best possible guest experience for optimal enjoyment. In addition to our beer being available in our taprooms, we also distribute certain brands throughout the state of Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
