Job Title: Housekeeper
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Job Knowledge and experience: One year of comparable experience (preferred)
· Knowledgeable about maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a wide variety of surfaces and areas
· Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
· Knowledge od and ability to preform required role in emergency situations
Job tasks/duties:
· Dusts rooms and furniture
· Cleans sanitizes restrooms; restocks restroom supplies
· Vacuums carpets and mops throughout club including dining areas
· Sweeps and dusts patio areas
· Empties waste baskets
· Cleans and polish brass
· Washes and cleans windows
· Shampoos carpets
· Reports any burnt out light bulbs, plumbing issues, and any maintenance issues to Operations Manager
· Assists with inventory control
· Locks and unlocks building; secure building when facilities are not in use
· Takes trash to dumpster
· Polishes glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment, and door handles
· Moves furniture, equipment, and tables
· Cleans locker room areas (including showers and restroom areas)
· Cleans walls through Club house when necessary
· Maintain cleanliness of outside of club house when needed
· Cleans and maintains cleanliness of pool locker rooms and restrooms
· Clean employee restrooms
· Vacuums stairs and elevator
· Empties cigarette containers at entrances
· Clean and dust all light fixtures
· Laundry (wash, dry, and iron linens)
· Clean out lint traps on dryers
· Clean laundry areas on a weekly basis
· Transports linens to and from laundry room
· Complete other responsibilities assigned by Property Operations Manager and head of housekeeping
Physical demands and Work Environment:
· Ability to carry laundry up and down stairs
· Move tables and furniture
· Able to use ladders if necessary
· Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and kneeling
· Continuous standing and walking
· Exposure to cleaning chemicals (bleach, laundry detergence,)
· Exposure to warm, cold, and damp weather climates
