Groomer

We are an AAHA accredited family operated pet resort and animal hospital seeking a motivated, experienced & compassionate grooming professional to work part-time or full-time at our resort.

This position will start out as part-time and can work up to full time.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in another grooming facility is required for consideration. Must be able to demonstrate skills in order to be hired. Personal experience will not be considered.
• Must have a great attitude, a welcoming smile and the ability to work well in a team environment. Must be customer service oriented as you will be dealing with our loyal clientele
• Must be punctual, organized and have an excellent attendance record. Our clients depend on you showing up to work, on time, on the promised scheduled day.
• Have a thorough understanding of all breed standard cuts and deliver the highest quality results on all dogs regardless of size, breed, or personality. Cat grooming and handling is a plus.
• Must be able to maintain a gentle and safe environment for our clients.
• You will be responsible for all aspects of grooming; bathing, drying, brushing, clipping and scissoring skills, nail trimming, & ear cleaning. Must have experience with de-matting & furminator treatments
• Must be able to communicate with owners in person or by phone regarding the style and length of hair cut they wish to see on their pet. Also communicate any health concerns that may need immediate attention with the owner and our hospital staff
• Quality instead of quantity. We are looking for someone with good time management skills but also must provide excellent quality in your work. Normal day will be 4-6 dogs daily
• Must provide their own styling tools. Shampoo, conditioner, blowers, dryers & towels will be provided.
• Must maintain a clean, tidy work area throughout the day. You will be responsible to clean the tub areas, groom tables, mats, dryers, sweep & mop, and take out the garbage after you are done grooming.
