Sow Farm Facility Maintenance - Lynn, IN
We are hiring a Sow Farm Facility Maintenance Technician for our Sky View Farm in Lynn, IN. In this role, you will perform basic preventative maintenance along with basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs at our company owned or leased facility. You will report to the Sow Farm Manager and will be a vital component of keeping our barns operating efficiently.

Responsibilities
What You Would Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and solve basic mechanical & electrical problems (Including but not limited to repairs to Electronic Sow Feeding Stations, plumbing systems, ventilation system, and heating lamps)
- Attend required trainings
- Maintain farm lanes (filling pot hole, grading with rear blade)
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE
- Understand and use lock out/tag out procedures
- Maintain spare parts needed at farm along with all tools
- Be available for any emergency repairs
- Maintain tractor, brush hog, riding mower, bucket & rear blade
- Complete repair request forms for outside contactor needs
- Other possible duties could include snow plowing, grass cutting & weed trimming along with spraying weed deterrents, pressure washing & production duties
Qualifications
This Role is for You if:
- You have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 years of maintenance experience, or equivalent maintenance experience.
- You are multi-task oriented and a team player.
- You have prior electrical and welding experience (Highly desired)
- You poses a valid driver’s license
- You have good verbal and written communication skills.
- You can lift at least 50 lbs and push at least 100 lbs
- You are able to work in inclement weather conditionsYou are available to work Monday thru Friday, with some weekends and holiday work required.
- You are committed to meeting and exceeding industry standards in care and welfare of our animals.
- You are able to tolerate a barn environment, which may include animal dander, manure, dust, blood, odors and frequently noisy conditions.
