The Support Staff IV is an intermediate-level position that provides administrative support and clerical duties within the Domestic Relations department. This position requires intermediate organization, computer and typing skills.

- Receptionist duties (answer phone and direct inquiries and correspondence).
- Provide administrative support (process orders, schedule or reschedule, arrange conference calls, arrange for sheriff or interpreter, update schedule, create reports, etc.).
- Customer Service (answer phones and direct inquiries and correspondence).
- Typing & Data Entry (prepare, update and distribute lists; compose and proofread reports).
- Clerical duties (fax, copy, microfiche, archive, data entry, date and time stamp, etc.).
- Research and pull payment history information.
- Maintain databases, logs and spreadsheets.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outbound mail.
- Monitor defendants at Chester County Prison (through computer system).
- Filing (locate, pull files, re-file, update and maintain records).
- Perform other office functions as determined (attend meetings, etc.).
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- One to two years of customer service experience.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge.
- Intermediate typing skills (minimum of 50 wpm).
- Strong grammar and spelling knowledge and skills.
- Ability to use office machines (fax, copier, calculator, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Accurate and detail oriented.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish a plus).
- Knowledge of Department of Welfare (DPW) system
- Knowledge of bar coding system.
- Intermediate organization skills.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of county policies and procedures.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Intermediate Word skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills (Email and Calendar)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Intermediate PeopleSoft skills or the ability to learn PeopleSoft
- Knowledge and skill with the PACSES system (state-utilized software)
- Knowledge and skill with Automated Case Management software
