What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Sheriff position at County of Fluvanna?
The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an open full-time Deputy Sheriff position. Must be willing to be trained and work in both Courts and Patrol. An alternate shift may be required.
DCJS certified individuals are preferred and will receive a $7,000 sign-on bonus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, and be 21 years of age.
- Complete a thorough background investigation.
- Successfully complete a physical and psychological examination.
- Must be become DCJS trained and certified within one (1) year.
- Candidates must possess a current valid operator’s license.
Compensation:
Salary is dependent upon experience, education, and certifications.
$25.70 to $29.56 per hour for LEO-certified candidates, depending upon other qualifications.
