County of San Luis Obispo's County Counsel Office is recruiting for an Administrative Services Officer II to support office operations.
As the Administrative Services Officer, you will be overseeing office operations including supervising a team of legal clerks and administrative support staff. Additonally, the individual in this role will have responsbility for the department's budget and human resources function. This role will regularly interact with the senior leadership team of the County Counsel office.
Administrative Services Officer II is part of a career series for Administrative Services Officer I and II. Under direction, performs a variety of activities involved in the overall administrative, budgetary and personnel management activities of a designated County department; coordinates and organizes office and business activities and flow of communications and information to ensure effective and efficient activities; may supervise, train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; and does other related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or a closely related field (Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis).
Administrative Services Officer II: In addition to the above educational experience, one year of experience at a professional level performing a wide variety of administrative and business management activities.
Experience in law office management, including supervising clerical and paralegal personnel preferred. Understanding of law office filing systems, civil law and procedure, paralegal skills and/or other legal experience a plus. Additionally, experience working with database applications, budgeting,organizational skills, and basic accounting desired.
