POSITION TITLE: NETWORK/SYSTEM TECHNICIAN III JG: 21

BASE SALARY: $71,748 LOCATION PAY $4,635 (NYC ONLY)

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related technical experience
in a help desk or technical environment; or an equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Network/System Technicians III work under close supervision in the Division of Technology and Court Research performing second-level troubleshooting support and training to end-users and escalating the most complex problems to Network/Systems Engineers I. They act as team leaders and oversee the work of Network/System Technicians I and Network/System Technicians II, receive calls and inquiries regarding complex technical issues, conduct analysis of technical problems, provide support in accordance with established processes and document incidents and remedies. Network/System Technicians III are responsible for the installation of software and hardware and for providing technical support to Division of Technology and Court Research projects and initiatives and perform other related duties.

of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Network/System Technicians I work under direct supervision in the Division of Technology and Court Research performing first-level troubleshooting support to end-users. They receive calls and inquiries, provide basic support in accordance with established processes, document incidents and remedies and escalate complex incidents to higher-level support personnel. Network/System Technicians I are responsible for the installation of software and hardware and for providing technical support to Division of Technology and Court Research projects and initiatives and perform other related duties.


Duties Description
ASSIGNMENT: Duties include Design, implement, & maintain Cybersecurity systems. Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to Cybersecurity systems. Collaborate with ISO office to define and prioritize cybersecurity initiatives and projects as well as assist with
development of security policies and standards, risk assessment, and risk-mitigation strategy. Manage Cybersecurity infrastructure.
including hardware, software, budget, and purchasing. Participate in Cybersecurity Incident Response. Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies is required such as Splunk SIEM, Splunk SOAR, VPN, EDR, firewall, IPS/IDS, A/V, web-filtering, proxy, Azure security, Microsoft security tools, endpoint detection and remediation software. Experience with implementing CIS standards is desired. CISSP or GIAC certification is desired. These are not remote positions. Off hours support for production issues may be required.

  • Ability to run vulnerability, application, and network scans,
  • Ability to perform basic pen testing
  • Ability to interpret the results from above, screen for false-positives, order exploits by severity and impact, and summarize said results for dissemination to the system owners
* Ability to configure and set up scans and tests, both manually and automated * Ability to perform installs, upgrades, patches, and open helpdesk tickets related to the vulnerability software
Software: Rapid7 Appspider, or equivalent webapp scanner,
Tenable Sc and Nessus network scanning or equivalent
Qualys network and webapp scanning
Nmap and port-scanning software
Burpsuite, Nikto, w3af, and other free/open scanning software
