Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of hotel maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Manage a team of maintenance engineers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure proper functioning of equipment and hotel.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance needs and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain a budget for maintenance activities, including equipment purchases and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge and experience in hotel maintenance.
-- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
-Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
-Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
· Must be able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel and act upon each accordingly.
· Be willing and able to comply with hotel policies and procedures including appearance and grooming, safety, security, key control, and emergency procedures.
· Be skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
· Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
· Skill in the use of basic hand and electric tools and familiarity with parts and materials is required.
· Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
