Job Description
Job Summary: The Bistro Bartender will provide exceptional service to all guests of The Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Ballantyne. Prepare and deliver food and drinks (including alcoholic beverages), operate Micros point of sale system and process payments from guests. Maximize revenues while ensuring high quality of products and service. Connect with guests on a personal level while helping them to discover The Bistro and make the most of their stay. **Part-Time Position**PM Shift** Hourly wage plus tips
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
- Prepares and serves beverages, including Starbucks coffee drinks, beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with local laws and responsible alcohol serving standards.
- Accepts guest orders for food, beverages and retail items; enters orders into Micros and collects payment; responsible for cash drawer and handling monies.
- Describes menu items, methods of preparation and prices to guests as requested.
- Up sells to maximize food and beverage revenues.
- Advises supervisor of low inventory items.
- Maintains sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with state and local laws and franchise requirements.
- Reports unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
